Mentoring Committee

Hockey for Covington Representative (Jason Kleinhenz)

  • Act as Liaison between HfC and Mentoring Committee
  • Conduct Mentoring Committee meetings
  • Provides financials for both entities
  • Provides mission based on values
  • Provides direction for projects and partnerships

Trustees (Sam Carmine & Andy Reuter)

  • Provide support for partnerships and financials
  • Assists with grants and donations
  • Provide insight to organizational operation
  • Maintain meeting notes

Auditors (Lindsay Lomax & Travis Eccles)

  • Provide legal and financial support for organizational operation
  • Provide support for organizational structure

Executive Committee

Mentoring Committee Representative (Jason Kleinhenz)

  • Act as Liaison between Mentoring Committee and Executive Committee
  • Develop goals and strategies to meet mission
  • Work with Management Committee to develop departmental goals
  • Provide support to Management Committee
  • Translate vision to missions, values, and goals
  • Establishes strategic plan
  • Maintain League Charter and any other pertinent League documentation
  • Promote League culture and 501c3 status

Development Director (Justin Patterson)

  • Conduct Executive Committee Meetings
  • Direct vision of the Management Committee to meet mission and goals based on values
  • Provides financial goals and budget
  • Maintain meeting notes

Commissioner (Jesse Kleinhenz)

  • Direct League operation and strategy toward mission and vision in accordance with published Rules of the CSHL
  • Act as Liaison between Executive Committee and Management Committee
  • Provide authorization for League members to incur expenses and/or undertake projects
  • Provide final authorization for all League related expenses
  • Conduct Management Committee meetings to discuss issues and resolve current business
  • Conduct Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect new officers and review current business as well as Special General Meetings (SGM)
  • Attend, on behalf of League, major planning meetings or give authorization for a member to attend
  • Provide final legal authority with Managing Treasurer and other Executives for League day-to-day operations
  • Maintain SportGo Lite with Commissioner and Club Coordinator

Directors

Club Coordination Director (Dave Wellerding)

  • Develop and lead execution of Club growth strategy in partnership with Commissioner
  • Actively work with Club Managers to ensure successful completion of duties and initiatives
  • Act as liaison between Management Committee and Club Managers
  • Conduct Club Manager meetings and maintain notes
  • Work with Club Managers to maintain League culture, relationships, structure, community and gameplay
  • Work with Club Managers to ensure decisions are being based on mission, values, and goals
  • Work with Marketing/Media Managers for content based on Club Manager’s game reports
  • Coordinate and handle player registration and related information with Commissioner and Recruiting Manager
  • Maintain SportGo Lite with Commissioner and Recruiting Manager

Marketing Director (Sunil Ketty)

  • Maintain mission by monitoring Club and League marketing and Partnership marketing
  • Provide sign-off of marketing material for events, partnerships, and Clubs
  • Manage Merchandise and Marketing Committee to reach mission and goals
  • Work with Media Manager on content creation and advertising
  • Manage marketing and social media budget with Media Manager and Managing Treasurer
  • Maintain websites
  • Maintain relationships with Press and Media Outlets
  • Maintain regular communication with Covington community to keep up to date on upcoming events
  • Develop and execute initiatives to build CSHL and Club brands to increase the exposure of the League
  • Maintain the Covington Street Hockey League name
  • Provide communication guidelines and spokespeople
  • Work with Recruiting Manager on content and needs

Media Director (Chris Jenco)

  • Work with Marketing Manager on content creation for Marketing
  • Lead regular Media team meetings and communication
  • Create and maintain League and Club media content for social outlets
  • Create, work on, and maintain YouTube show and Podcast content
  • Organize and maintain committees to help reach mission and goals
  • Work with other Managers on content creation for events and advertising

Fundraising/Partnership Director (Chris Weiss)

  • Manage and maintain relationship with the City of Covington and major partnerships
  • Strive to keep League and Clubs in good standing with all aforementioned entities and the Community
  • Create and maintain League and Club partnerships and records in accordance with mission and goals
  • Create and maintain League and Club donation plans and records info
  • Assemble fundraising, sponsorship, and grant writing committees to support efforts
  • Lead regular committee meetings and communication
  • Work to maintain and maximize fundraising events with Social&Field Manager
  • Maintain and maximize sponsorship arrangements including collection of monies due with Managing Treasurer
  • Maintain members in FlipGive and other passive income modalities (Amazon Smile, Kroger, etc)

Treasury Director (Jeff Kleinhenz)

  • Maintain League registration
  • Maintain League finances
  • Make purchases for the league
  • Coordinate with Executive Committee to make financial decisions
  • -possibly Handle payment and related fees for referees and other members
  • -possibly Collect dues from active League members
  • Collect receivables from fundraising, sponsorships, and donations
  • Provide authorized reimbursement for League related expenses
  • Ensure League is in good financial standing with all related parties
  • Review account status/report at League meetings
  • Keep Managing Committee meeting minutes and provide to Marketing and Media Managers for transparency

Recruiting Director (Nick Waymeyer)

  • Assemble Recruiting, League Events-, and Social Engagement Committees to support efforts
  • Lead regular recruiting team meetings and communication
  • Provide networking opportunities
  • Maintain dialogue with potential recruits to entice them to join League
  • Coordinate with Managers and Commissioner to align scheduling with League strategy
  • Collection and maintenance of contact information for all players
  • Coordinate and handle player registration and related information with Commissioner and Club Coordinator
  • Maintain SportGo Lite with Commissioner and Club Coordinator

Social & Field Director (Tim Acri)

  • Provide leading role in League & Club social events to promote team building and maintain positive growth toward mission, goals, and values
  • Manage appropriate paperwork/applications for permits and licensing for events
  • Organize/coordinate post-game socials and possibly game concessions
  • Oversee purchasing and preparation of supplies
  • Schedule and assign League members for work detail
  • Ensure courts and equipment are maintained
  • Ensure proper court set-up/clean-up for all games
  • Organize seasonal maintenance of courts
  • Organize quarterly park clean-ups and work with Commissioner for other community engagement events
  • Develop and maintain Development & Maintenance, Equipment, and Community Outreach Committees according to mission and goals
  • Lead regular Social & Field team meetings and communication

Clubs

Club Manager (Justin Patterson, Jon O’Hearn, Eric Wilke, Mark Blair)

  • Represent both short and long-term interests of the active players
  • Submit game reports to Club Coordinator
  • Work with Club Coordinator and Club Captain to promote league mission, culture, relationships, structure, community and gameplay
  • Maintain Club listserv(s) and communication
  • Assist League with placement of members into Committees
  • Hold regular Club meetings and maintain notes
  • Recruit members for League Committees

Club Coach

  • Organize and manage training sessions and games
  • Determine on field tactics and communicate game plan for team
  • As a selector, lead selection committee meetings (one of three votes)
  • Control substitutions for the team being coached

Club Captain

  • Act as liaison between players and coaching staff
  • Set example for players in regards to conduct and standards
  • Participate in selections for team: alternate vote if an elected Selector is unable to attend
